Brief Jack's POV

Sometime after the sunset, [Y/N] had fallen asleep. Understandable. I figured that days like today could be exhausting. I looked around in the darkness. Eventually I got tired myself, and I picked her up. I carried her bridal style to her house. When we got in, I placed her on the bed. I took her phone from her hand, noticing the name on the other end. "Bobbi". I set the phone on the bedside table. I decided to just sleep on the couch; I didn't want anything to happen to her during the night. Not that anything probably would happen overnight, but hey. Better safe than sorry.

I walked back downstairs and to the couch. Today hadn't been the easiest day for me either. I yawned, thinking about how everything had gone. I put my hand on my forehead. I laid down and my thoughts eventually drifted to [Y/N], sleeping just upstairs. I smiled, falling into a rather dreamless sleep.

Your POV

I woke up, my mind foggy from just waking up. I must have been really tired. I looked around, taking a quick look at my surroundings. It was good to be in my own room. This made me wonder how I got here. Hadn't I fallen asleep on that hill? With Jack? I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and shook my head. I'd have to answer those questions later. Right now I had to get myself ready for whatever the day had in store.

I sat on the edge of the bed. It looked like it was going to rain, which meant I didn't really want to go out today. I checked my pockets for my phone, only to find it laying on the table next to my bed. I looked to see if Bobbi had answered my text.

Friday
9:42 am: Hey, Bobbi. Is everything okay? I haven't heard anything from you lately.

There was nothing else there. Maybe I'd have to stop by Bobbi's house and see if anything was wrong. This wasn't usual behavior, and I knew it. I sighed and set the phone down, deciding that it was time to make breakfast. I walked into the bathroom after a few minutes of grabbing some clothes, and I took my bath. I was soon ready to make breakfast.

Eventually the smell of food filled the air thickly. It trailed out into the living room, where it roused Eyeless Jack. I was busy finishing up when I heard his footsteps coming into the kitchen.

"Not so quiet, now, are we?" I asked, smirking.

"Nngh, hush. I'm tired." he responded.

"Yeah. Whatever, sleepy man." I said. I heard a groan come from him. A childish grin slipped onto my face, and I sat the food on the table. He dropped heavily into his seat.

  "Jeez. You look tired."

  "I said hush."

  "No."

I stuck my tongue out at him. He sighed and shook his head, before taking a bite of his food. I merely sat down and watched him eat his portion. He paused to look up.

  "Aren't you going to eat?"

"When you're done. I want to call Bobbi. Bobbi hasn't answered any of my calls or anything, and it's starting to bother me."

  "Oh. Okay, see you later."

"Yeah!" I said. I stood up and walked to my room. I picked up the phone and dialed Bobbi's parents' number. Maybe Bobbi's parents would be able to tell me something. I waited for a few seconds before redialing.

  "Hello?" a quiet voice spoke.

"Um, hello? Is- is this Bobbi's mom?"

  "... Yes."

"Is everything alright? I'm Bobbi's friend, [Y/N]. Do you know where.."

  "Bobbi is?" she replied quickly.

  "Yeah! Where Bobbi is."

  "[Y/N].. I remember you.."

  "Erm.. Ye-yes."

"Bobbi is.. Gone. Has been for about two days, since late Thursday." Bobbi's mom said. I stopped for a moment, registering.

  "Gone?"

"Dead. She was.. Killed. I have to.. Go now. You'll have to stop by sometime. Good bye, [Y/N]." she said. She hung up after that, not even waiting for me to answer. I dropped the phone, not even registering that it might break. Bobbi... My best friend.. Was gone? That meant Bobbi would never come back. I wouldn't see..

I couldn't finish that thought, because it hurt way too much. Any trace of a good mood just seemed to drain from my body, leaving me feeling a bit more empty than I thought I could be. I remember all the times that my friend supported me. When I was abused, in pain, or in doubt. This news was a lot more than I could take.

I just sat down for a minute and tried to clear my head. I realized right there that this was the answer I'd been dreading to receive. I had always hoped that the reason Bobbi wasn't in communication with me was something simple. Something that wasn't so permanent nor painful.

For awhile I just sat on the edge of my bed in utter shock and pain, holding my head in my hands.
--------------
Jack's POV

After eating, I realized that [Y/N] still wasn't out here. It hadn't been more than 15 minutes, but I was still worried. How long did it take to call someone and figure out what was keeping them? I stood up fro my chair and walked up the stairs. I hoped that she was doing okay.

When I opened the door, she had a tissue in her hand. She was rubbing her eyes and sobbing quietly.

"What happened?" I asked her. She just looked up, a sorrowful expression on her face. It took her a minute to speak, but she did.

"Bobbi is gone." she said. She sounded so heartbroken, and my feet were moving so quickly that I didn't realize it at first. I wrapped my arms around her in a comforting manner, and her breath hitched. Once I was sitting right next to her, she sobbed. It got louder until she was a mess, but I sat still.

"It's okay, [Y/N]. I'm here..." I said. She nodded, but stayed in my embrace. I whispered calming things into her hear until she got quiet.

  "How did Bobbi die?"

  ".. Someone killed Bobbi."

  "Oh." I said. She sniffed.

  "Yeah."

She didn't speak much, except for saying that she was going to visit Bobbi's house when the weather cleared up. I asked if she wanted me to come, and she nodded. This was a sort of battle she clearly didn't want to fight alone, though I couldn't blame her. I agreed to help her fight this.

Brief Your POV

We walked downstairs, me covered in a blanket. Jack had promised we could sit and watch sappy Romance-Comedies as long as I ate breakfast, and I agreed. There was nothing better than sitting with your boyfriend and watching cute movies.

It was silent as he watched me eat. It made me uncomfortable, but I wasn't really feeling that talkative myself. I now wondered if it would have been better not to call, or if it would just cause more heartbreak. I decided that it was for the best that I learned this now. I had my phone with me, seeing as I'd texted my parents the news. Maybe they would comfort me.

I has insisted on cleaning all the dirty dishes after finishing my meal, but Jack talked me out of it. "We can do that together, later, if you want," he had said. I wasn't in the mood to fight. I ended up agreeing to that and just left it alone. We walked out into the living room with my favorite Romance-Comedy movie in hand.

Jack popped the movie in, and I set up our little blanket couch. He turned around and smiled, watching me sit down. He sat down himself. We both made ourselves comfortable, and he wrapped his arms around me tightly. He started the movie. That's where we stayed up until dinner time.
Here it is! After almost a month, I'm back. It will probably be another week until I really start getting this story continued, because finals are coming. Winter break starts next week, not this week ;-;. Anyways..
